Examples Of Racial Discrimination
Racism is the worst kind of discrimination among all types. Racism does not only exist in the US but in several countries. It has been preset in multiple levels of the society across the world in various ranks and forms. Some people were treated according to their level or caste in the society. People belonging to the lower rung of the society were clearly treated inferiorly. |
Racism is nothing but discrimination based on race. People belonging to a certain race are treated badly and are looked down upon. For example, in the US about five decades ago people of the black community were looked down and were denied several comforts that others in the society enjoyed. Black people were not even allowed on buses in which white people traveled. However, today, the society of the US has come a long way by overcoming their differences with race and cultural differences.
Racism does exist in mild forms in the US even today. If you compare the employment rate between the whites and the black community, there is a marked difference. There may be several other reasons for the black people not to be employed but racism can be a very dominating reason. However, racism does not exist only among the white community of the US. Even minorities express racism. They may ostracize themselves from the rest of the society on their own will and live restricted lives. The actual reason is that the minority have prejudice against the whites in some cases.
