It has been seen that victims of domestic violence live in a perpetual love-hate relationship. However, as a victim of domestic violence, you should not be living in fear wondering when you will be hit next. You as a victim have to break the domestic violence cycle.

If you have children, all the more you should think of breaking the cycle of domestic violence. Children can be severely traumatized by domestic violence. It takes courage to break the domestic violence cycle. And, most victims do not want to take help from family and friends because they are embarrassed. However, there are many organizations which can help including legal organizations which can help you get a restraining order against the abuser. You have to take control of your life and the only way to do it is by breaking the domestic violence cycle.
